Affiliate Disclosure

We are transparent about how VerdeNorth earns revenue — and why our editorial positions are never for sale.

Plain-Language Summary

VerdeNorth uses affiliate links. If you click a link on this site and buy a product, we may earn a commission from the seller — at no extra cost to you. This is how we fund the editorial operation. Our reviews and recommendations are made independently of these commercial arrangements: we only recommend products we believe meet our evidence criteria, and we disclose affiliate relationships clearly whenever they exist.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a performance-based arrangement in which a publisher (VerdeNorth) earns a commission when a reader clicks a designated affiliate link and completes a qualifying action — typically a purchase — on a third-party retailer or brand's website.

The commission is paid by the brand or retailer, not by you. The price you pay for a product is not affected by whether or not you arrived via an affiliate link.

FTC Compliance

In accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255), VerdeNorth discloses all material connections between our editorial content and commercial partners.

Where affiliate links appear within articles, they are identified with an "Editorially Selected · Affiliate Disclosure" label. This disclosure appears in close proximity to the content — not buried in a footer.

How We Select Products

Affiliate relationships do not determine what VerdeNorth recommends. Our editorial process is:

🔬

Evidence First

We review the clinical literature on the active ingredients or methods a product uses. Products that do not have credible evidence backing are not recommended, regardless of commercial arrangement.

📋

Label Accuracy

Where possible, we verify that products contain what they claim, in the doses claimed. Third-party testing certifications (NSF, USP, Informed Sport) are a positive signal.

🛡️

Editorial Independence

Brands cannot pay for a positive recommendation. If a product we have an affiliate arrangement with does not meet our evidence criteria, we will not recommend it or will qualify our recommendation clearly.

How Affiliate Links Are Identified

Within article content, affiliate product blocks are clearly labelled with the text "Editorially Selected · Affiliate Disclosure" at the top of the block. This label appears in every instance where an affiliate link is present.

Standard article links to products mentioned in editorial context (e.g., a study drug referenced in a research review) may not always be affiliate links. Where they are, the label is applied.

Affiliate Programs We Participate In

VerdeNorth participates in affiliate programs across health and wellness brands relevant to our editorial pillars. We will update this section as specific programs are established. All active affiliate relationships are disclosed at the point of content.

We do not accept paid product placements disguised as editorial content. Every product mentioned on VerdeNorth is there because it meets our editorial criteria — the affiliate arrangement follows the editorial decision, not the other way around.
